John Dorman , Chairman of the Board

John Dorman has served as director since August 2021 and as Board Chair since July 2024. He served as interim CEO for SmartRent from April to June 2025. 

Previously, Mr. Dorman served as a director and, from 1998 to 2003, as Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Digital Insight Corporation (Nasdaq: DGIN), a provider of outsourced online banking applications and services. Prior to this role, he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Global Financial Services Division of Oracle Corporation. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dorman was Board Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Treasury Services Corporation, a provider of enterprise modeling and financial analysis software for global financial institutions prior to its acquisition by Oracle in 1997. 

Mr. Dorman has served as a member of the board of directors of Target Hospitality Corp (Nasdaq: TH), a vertically integrated specialty rental and hospitality services company, since February 2024. Mr. Dorman is also the Chairman of the board of directors of DeepDyve, Inc., a privately held technology platform for scientific and scholarly research and as a member of the board of directors of Landgate Corp., a data-based marketplace for listing land for sale or lease.  

He previously served as a member of the board of directors of LoanDepot, Inc. (NYSE: LDI), a leading national non-bank lender serving consumers from 2021 to 2024. He was the Chairman of its Audit Committee and a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee and Compensation Committee. Mr. Dorman served on the board of directors of CoreLogic, Inc. (NYSE: CLGX)  from 2012 to 2021, where he was Chairman of the Strategy and Acquisitions Committee from 2014 to 2020 and Chairman of the Audit Committee from 2020 to 2021. Prior to this appointment, from 2010 to 2013, he was Chairman of the board of directors of Online Resources Corporation (Nasdaq: ORCC) when it was acquired by ACI Worldwide.

Mr. Dorman is a 2023 NACD Directorship 100 recipient, an annual recognition granted to leading corporate directors who significantly impact boardroom practices and performance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Philosophy from Occidental College and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the USC Marshall School of Business.
